A Story of Us
I want to make a story.
With, about us, now.
We start here.
I say hi, you do the same.
We walk away.
Tomorrow we meet again.
We do not speak.
Weeks after, nothing changes.
We feel wrong.
Years flow by, we both know and like the same group of people.
But not each other.
One day it occurs to both of us that we need to talk.
We need to break the silence.
Something here is unnatural.
Something is missing.
And so, on a warm spring day,
We meet each other once again right where we first did so.
I say, “Hello. My name is Matthew.”
You say, “Hello. I am your identity.”
