Dear me,
I want you to know
That I’m happy and whole
I am doing things I want
Even as I see time pass away.
Don’t think I was naive
Or I was stupid
Because right now I feel,
Like the smartest of beings.
Dear me,
Do not regret me or the things I did
Because it would hurt a part of your soul.
Don’t look back at the past and say ‘what if’
Don’t resent me please.

This I will keep as a reminder because too often I find myself regretting what I did before even when the decisions seemed right at the time.
