I heard on the radio
(disembodied voices are my favorite kind)
that staring contest are our way of testing
the social hierarchy
and establishing an alpha male
Well, when I walk into a room
I tend to avoid eyes
but in front of the mirror
I know I’m coming out on top
I guess it is okay to lose
to people that I care about
even when I don’t find out
the color of their eyes
