Caroline
Caroline.
Her fingers are calloused from the music that she plays;
She doesn’t drive, but she still gets road rage.
Her feet are tired from exploring the neighborhood
What in the world couldn’t she get if she would…
Not give a s*** about those who say she can’t
Just forget the haters that tell her she just wants attention.
But she deserves attention.
Her hands are scarred, her wrists are too;
She sits, stubborn and angry behind a granny in a Buick.
Her feet are always running from trust.
What in the world could be holding her back from us but…
Crippling fear of rejection and betrayal,
The saddest of addictions to her demons.
Why in the world would such a beautiful girl suffer from depression?
