Reflection
I look in the mirror
And what do I see?
I see my reflection
But that’s not what
Everyone sees
Some see a person
Who is flawed
They think they’re
Ugly, fat, worthless,
trash, pathetic, lousy,
a freak, and unwanted
But that’s not true
They get caught up in
what others say about them
But they are all lies
Everyone has flaws that’s true
So embrace them
Because you’re beautiful
no matter what others say
There will always be people who talk
but there will always be people who care as well
So look in the mirror again,
Only this time
stand tall, smile, and say
“I am beautiful”
And watch closely
since the reflection is smiling back at you
saying your beautiful
