Cinderella story gone, wrong
He moved here,
We became friends
Time passed, I saw the connection y'all didn't see
I saw the way he looked at her.
I saw the goofy smiles.
I saw the wanting in his eyes.
All those things, were things my heart was craving for.
You asked for my help. I gave it to you.
You asked for my advice. I gave it to you.
You asked for HER heart. That I gave you.
As weeks passed, I saw the connection fading.
As weeks passed, I saw the smiles disappearing.
As weeks passed, I saw the fights.
As weeks passed , I was the only one seeing.
Of course I stepped back and let life take its course.
But now, weeks later.
You say you need me, not her.
You say you want me, not her.
You say you like me, not her.
You say you would wait for me, not her.
I believed you.
Days passed.
No call, no text, no I miss you.
You moved.
Leaving nothing behind but broken hearts.
You called, I was a fool to answer.
You found someone new.
Someone better, someone prettier, someone to believe you.
I lay back and think...
I used to be that girl.
But now I'm a girl who has to put together another...
Cinderella story.
