Work of Art
Beautiful, that’s what I am.
No, gorgeous. A true work of art.
That’s what they should say about me. I’m a “smooth mocha latte ” girl with a mind, body, and soul to match.
But they don’t know that.
They see a mouse.
A little black mouse with no voice.
No spark to do something different for fear of getting stuck in the mice trap.
“No, she’s not special. She’s just another one,” they say.
WRONG. I’m not another one. I’m the one.
I’m the most beautiful, special perfect thing on this earth.
And they’ll know it before this is over.
This mouse will be known.
She’ll leave the hole, kill the cat, and get the cheese before you have a chance to catch her name.
Before it’s done, the world will know her. Oh yes.
This is one for the books.
Beautiful? Ha! You wish!
How about Gorgeous? Amazing? A living work of art who stood, unashamed, for the world to see.
Yes, that’s me.
