A Hidden Meaning
Why does she listen to that "crap"?
She likes it.
She likes how it flies about in her head and pulls her mind apart.
The notes bouncing around in her head, the gnashing teeth, ripping her mind to shreds too small to
recognize. That's what she lives for anymore.
The empty wasteland that has become her thoughts is the only place she can call home. The only
place she feels safe. Because that's where she hides her music.
It's running down mountains, off cliffs, it's blowing through the trees, brushing her hair ever so
casually across her face, hiding the tearstains.
She likes the numbness it creates
Taking away the pain of having to think.
She likes being numb. It's become familiar. A friend she can rely on when it all becomes too much
to bear.
She loves listening to the drum beats, the guitar chords, the screaming.
You may think it's meaningless yelling, but it's the only thing she knows she can rely on anymore.
It's the only thing that will shred her mind. That will take her to a different world.
It doesnt make her happy, it makes her empty.
And that's why she likes it.
