The King
Gods envy my touch
Kings lust my crown
I shout and the echoing of my voice turns the air itself into gold
My magnificence is not whispered, it is sung throughout every kingdom
Once a king of mere plants, I am now the lord of gold
What was once a gift has become my curse
And darling my eyes shed tears glistening down my face
As I watch your eyes turn into lifeless metal
The warmth escapes your body
The gold encasing my heart melts
Cracks begin to trickle down
I am so sorry love
That I could not see
You are the rose I lost
