"Literally"
They say “you’re literally so beautiful”
And I say,
“No, you’re not”
But make no mistake,
You are beautiful nonetheless.
You’re theoretically so beautiful,
Metaphorically so beautiful,
Figuratively, mysteriously and spiritually so beautiful.
Yet, you are not "literally" so beautiful.
The literal world has walls,
Boundaries to keep us from seeing the outside,
Mountains that we will never be able to climb,
And oceans we may never cross.
There are inevitable conflicts,
And unavoidable struggles.
None of which harbors itself in your beauty;
In your eyes I see only peace and vivacity,
And there are no boundaries to your beauty;
There are no limits to your grace.
So understand that you are not “literally” so beautiful,
For such a statement would be a tremendous insult.
Your beauty goes out beyond the stars,
To the edge of the universe and further from our cosmic perspective,
Passing “literal” at only the beginning of your beauty’s majestic flight.
