You wear a jaded smile like a chrysalis keeping you
From falling again,
And I’m enchanted with your eyes that are
Amber like the fleeting
Gold of a sunrise – but do you ever
Underestimate
Innocence? And do you think that
The idyllic is for
Children,
Or that it is the inexorable necessity
For intelligent
Life?
Because I’ve seen girls with lackluster hair
Who had an incandescent smile
Unmarred by the rust accumulated from
Bitter tears on
An iron
Heart,
And for all of their visceral beauty next to
Your charm,
Still there is something in them even more compelling
Than another cynic disguised
As wisdom.

Astounding. I literally have nothing I would suggest changing, or improving this piece, neverthe, that leaves more room for the thoughts that were aroused from this poem. You creativity, and imagery, is unprecedented the originality here screams. In fact, thats what captivated me the most, along with your impeccable vocabulary. I though I had a high vocabulary standard, and I read one of your pieces XD Truly, beautiful, I see why you got editor's choice award, and congrats on that. Keep them coming! "Unmarrednby the rust accumulated from Bitter tears on An iron Heart" I can't fathom enough words to describe how ingenious that was worded. The ingenuity and eccentricity is obvious throughout this piece, one has to be oblivious to such talent! Powerful throughout, with the help of ingeniously worded lines, and the smooth flow of your words, hopefully this makes it into the magazine soon."And for all their visceral beauty next to Your charm, Srill there is somwething in them even more compelling Than another cynic disguised As wisdom" .... (/•ิ_•ิ)/ Powerful, incredibly... Powerful closing. Facades are everywhere, but once the mask is cracked, the crack will soon turn into a void filled with lies, only wishing to become a truth, thought provoking, and if I didn't praise you enough, ingeniously written. Wow... I can see why this was awarded for editors choice. Reading this poem is like dipping your face into a cool sink filled with water. Its words glide like silk; they fit together so perfectly. Most people tend to get caught up when using "bigger words" but you use them at the perfect amount and in the best way. This was an amazing poem.
