Summer and Fall
His kisses tasted warm and sweet against my lips,
His hands felt so strong at my hips,
And as we kissed,
His smell wreathed around me,
His smell of spices and autumn leaves.
The scent reminded me of a time,
A time when things were going my way.
He brought back my sun,
Or at least for a day.
We were a crime,
He was fall,
And I was summer,
We moved together like words in rhyme.
Tip the hourglass,
Stop time.
Because every moment I spent with him,
Was a moment stolen from the other.
But he was my first,
And the other was a curse.
His kisses were gentle,
And the other’s made me tremble.
If the other found us together,
We’d never know forever.
