The Way That I Look At You
Those things you see in the mirror that you wish would go away
All the words that snuck past your lips that you wish you didn't say
Every moment of doubt that settled into your mind
The things you still try even though you fail every-time
Late night conversations that have stolen your heart
Heart breaks and hard times that threatened to rip you apart
Dreams that have charmed you and nightmares that have not
All those bad things you did when you didn't get caught
Then there's the way that I look at you when no one's around
When my eyes tell you what you need to know and I don't make a sound
Those moments when I love you for everything you are right now
I'll never ask you to change because I don't want you to and you don't know how
