R.I.P
Life is so short, so sweet
Every day we are given is blessing,
Count your blessings my friends,
For the next day you get may be your last,
Whatever plan the Fates have for us,
I pray there is a reason that some are taken so young,
Some taken so old,
And some taken who have just hit their middle years,
Sometimes there seems there is no reason,
But the end there somehow always is,
But sometimes I wonder,
Could these deaths had been prevented?
Could these people’s lives been saved?
One will never know,
All we can do is try our best to keep moving forward,
But never let those we’ve lost stray from our hearts,
For in our hearts they live forever,
Rest In Peace my dear friends.

This year I have lost two friends, both I knew well and their deaths hit me hard. One was killed by his own hand, the other killed by the reckless driving of another driver. The first one I lost in March, the second one I lost just Thursday the 21st and I didn't even know till know that she had gone. The first one he was 21, the second I do believe was 16 or 17, she's younger than me. Why so many young people's lives end so soon I'll never understand, I just hope I live on till my old age, while I count each day given as a blessing to me. Hope you liked the poem.
