Lonely Girl
In the midst of the darkness,
After all the people have gone inside,
After all of nature has fallen into silence,
There she sits,
In the corner of her room,
Tears streaming down her cheeks.
While everyone seems to have someone,
To hold,
To cry with,
To laugh with,
To live with,
She has no one.
All she wishes for,
Is someone to touch,
To smile to,
To hold,
To whisper sweet nothings to.
Her world is so lonely,
Seems not a creature stirs,
And as her hands tremble,
And her tears continue,
All she can do is hold onto the loneliness,
It being her best friend.
What a lonely girl she is.
