Is life really that long?

Life is the longest thing we perceive
For no one experiences real life after death
At this moment you are the oldest you’ve ever been
That moment passes but you’re still the oldest you’ve been
Being healthy extends your life
As does exercising
But longer doesn’t mean happier
What is a life without joy
Without sorrow
A spectrum of emotions should fill one’s life
Numerous heartbreaks
Bountiful meals
Maybe even some dreadful sickness
Life is about what you fit into it
Not about how long it is

Close your eyes

Close your eyes, it’s been a long day
Almost vague, doesn’t it seem
For every day is the same length
The moon rises and the sun sets
Kids go to school
Parents go off to work
But what makes a day long?
Is it our brains lying to us
Or is it our way of saying we’re done for the day
Where would life be without long days
Never reaching a point where we’ve worked too hard
Using every moment of the day and never taking rest
For those are the days that seem the best fit
Close your eyes for now and simply ponder
Life without sleep

Life is unique

What makes a story unique?
It’s ability to bend reality?
suddenly you’re a dog
a dragon
a horse
or some sunglasses on your mother’s counter
What’s a story without insanity
For a story teller is simply a mad-man
Of course their sickness is no crime
As all people need an escape
Why not escape to a world of unique
A world where insanity is praised
