A Great Day to Die
Tis a great day to die
A fine evening to fly
A beautiful night to cry
A whole lifetime to lie
A smile that brightens up the night
But deep inside it’s a losing fight
Not knowing wrong from right
Music sooths but not tonight
Eyes stare and judge
They make fun of you for eating fudge
You know their thoughts aren't going to budge
But they did budge
Oh boy, did they budge
Some asked what’s the matter
But your lies just climb up the tall ladder
They’ve given up they keep getting madder
They just think you’re crazy like the mad hatter
You stand on the edge of sanity and ledges
You tried to get better you made pledges after pledges
You look at yourself in the deeps below
A beautiful sculpture with just a little more edges
You sanity is gone
You can’t stand there for long
You know they are wrong
But you’re tired of this world so, so long
As you fall into the abyss
You can’t help but not miss
The fact that you’ve never been loved
The fact that you’ve never been kissed
You go over in your head
Before you're about to be dead
Tis a great day to die
A fine evening to fly
A beautiful night to cry
A whole lifetime to lie
