Eyes Gone

When your eyes were wide open shinning bright,
I was with you, laughing along as you did.
When your eyes were closed that dark cold night,
He called you and I grasped your hands as he decided to go.
Now as you open your eyes to the bright place you deserve
I cry alone, calling to you in the night, wishing you could come back.
