A Glass Of Water
I loathe my every point of view
But it isn't my fault, i cant help it
You see me differently than i see you
I cannot see far ahead for my candle isn't lit
I look up into a peaceful sky
Try not to look at the clouds
Focus on the blue, for it is shy
Sits quietly, silently, and makes no sounds
Do not say to me you "Understand"
For if you did, for if you really cared
You would take the glass and fill it
Then wait for me and patiently sit.
I stare out my window, since it has snowed
It isn't warm, but it also isn't cold
So some of it melts and turns soft
So I look up at the snowflakes, wishing i were so aloft
I try and ache to see a glass half full
But all i can see is the half not there
I try to convince myself, but my mind is lull
Can't force myself to look away, i only stare
The longer i look, it weighs more on my soul
The glass is cracked, but i do not care.
But when that glass shatters it makes me laugh.
I get another, and only fill it half.
