Forever Waiting
I twirl my hair
sighing
Watching my team practice,
without me.
As I wait and wait and wait,
Silent, patient
One week,
I have to wait
But waiting won’t help
as they learn new
and I review old
over and over again in my head
But I still sit here
watching quietly,
wondering;
When will I shine again?
