I am me
Who am I? For that is the question.
The things that define us vary from place to place,
to thing to thing,
to thought to thought.
I am a girl, age 13.
I come from Oregon,
Pennsylvania,
and Indiana.
These places contribute to who I am mentally
and physically.
In Oregon my family took long hikes.
In Pennsylvania I had my first nightmare featuring Cruella DeVille.
Now in Indiana ,since age 5, I grow up and try to experience life to it’s fullest.
I’m in plays.
I play sports.
This makes me dramatic and a tiny bit competitive.
I used to hate sports.
Then I saw my teammates. They were angry about being defeated.
I guess it rubbed off on me.
Competition still isn’t my favorite thing
but I enjoy improving from horrible,
to better.
When we are young we are told we can be anything we want to.
While in kindergarten I wanted to be a singer.
Then in third grade I wanted to be a vet.
Now my main goal is to help.
I want to help to provide
love
and care for those who need.
I still want to be a vet just one that makes a difference,
however small.
I will be a helper.
I am a helper.
I am a citizen in God’s kingdom.
This is just like everyone else.
Never have I been alone.
This is just like everyone else.
I am like everyone else.
They are like me.
The only difference is who we are.
I am me.
