I See
I see the ocean,
A mirror in the moonlight,
reflecting the moon's loving caress.
I see the ocean,
A warrior unto the night,
Crashing and beating the beach's soft sand.
I see the forest,
A guardian of nature,
Playing host unto animals big and small.
I see the forest,
A giant mother to all,
Loving all, turning none away.
I see the desert,
An inhospitable giant,
Blowing sand, nothing grows.
I see the desert,
A slave unto the day,
Saving none, killing all.
I see the sky,
Beautiful blue, huge horizon,
Bound to the earth forever more.
I see the sky,
Holding us in,
Never letting go.
I see the ice,
Capturing and concealing,
Then letting the truth slip through.
I see the ice,
Freezing hearts and planets alike,
Never once allowing other emotions in.
I see the universe,
All the elements working in harmony,
Just like me and my best friend.

I wrote this peom to show the relationship between me and my bestie, Caitlin Chaney for anyone who might know her, since she wrote one about our walks and talks around my house. I miss her terribly, since she moved to Fruitland, Idaho, Weiser's mortal enemy. But, if you happen to see her, tell her that her Kissy-Kinz says Hi!
