The Dark

It's just the dark.
There's nothing to be scared of.
The only thing in there is a bed.
And maybe a closet.
Nothing but that.
Except your deepest fears.
Waiting for you to lie down,
So they can all come flooding back to you.
It's only a few things.
The fears, the memories, the desires.
Everything you want to forget,
But never can.
It's nothing more than your worst nightmare.
But everythng you see,
Everything you hear, and even touch,
Could not be more real.
It's only the dark.
There's nothing to be scared of.
