My Spider Web
I exist on a spiderweb
Silk sticking to my feet as I balance across a thread
Hands stuck out like an acrobat
As I learn not to fall
I live in the stars above my head
Connecting the dots with a fine line of that spiderweb
Lines crisscrossing across the universe
Created by a spider that shakes the veins of Space
Sometimes I watch others tumble off their balancing act,
A wind too strong that blows them till they crack
A person who makes their path tremble
A string that snaps half way through
I know my toes are sore
Sore from the endless gripping to razor wire that may bore
The weight of a thousand men
Of a billion thoughts.
I will let my feet stick
Stick to this little trick
The trick that made me believe
That there is an end to this web that I cling to
