Where I'm From
I am from a house on the hills.
Sounds of children playing and dogs running around happily.
Laughter and jumping on the trampoline and muddy paw prints on the floor.
I am from flowers and trees blowing in the breeze.
Cars passing by and familiar faces greeting me.
I am from a fearless family of five.
Learning it’s better to take risks than to not experience.
White water rafting with family and friends in the mountains of Pigeon Forge, Tennessee.
Laughing our heads off, dad fell off the raft and the tour guide lifting him up.
I am from adventure.
My first upside down roller coaster with my dad, from crying and screaming to smiles and laughter.
Loving every moment.
I am from splashes of color on a canvas.
From color wheels, colored pencils, and crayolas.
I am from imagination.
Optimistic, original, and out of the ordinary.
I am from a perfectionist, taking my time
My favorite project: A graceful ballerina dancing on flowers, the city in the distance
Time winning all, my art being showcased by the Milwaukee Ballet.
I am from unconditional love and support.
Friends there for me through the good and the bad
Always having a shoulder to cry on.
I am from a family of whom I can tell anything to.
Advice, awkward situations, and answers to ridiculous questions.
Knowing i’m not being judged.
I am from a house on the hills.
From family, adventure, and imagination.
All of which no one can take away from me.
