Freckles MAG
i might sit with you
you can connect my freckles like constellations
wrapped in quilts and watching the silence
fireflies float like tiny lanterns on the wind
the clouds will lazily hang in the sky
the sun will paint you
in a hazy gold and pink
and you’ll cross your legs
and strum the guitar with the hole in the side
with a spattering of mud that covers your cheeks
so that we might look the same
you will sing, writing novels with your words
look off into the distance and say,
“this is where i want to be.”
