Shaking the rice crispies out of the box
The gooey marshmallows sticking to our fingers
Red sprinkles falling over the treats
Shaping the green delicacies into little wreaths
As we decorate them like they’re our masterpieces


Packing up for grandma’s
Watching as snowflakes fall making me even more excited
Pulling up the icy driveway I get ready to jump out
Enjoying the warm embrace of family on Christmas Eve 
The best gift a person can give
