Sleepy Sun Effect
The sky is hazy with gentle farewell
A melody melts into me
Softening my heart
Soothing my bones.
Distant companies of trees create a frame
For this small moment.
Young innocence beside me
And the unknown pulsing beyond sight
Romance and friendship mere fingertips away
Familiar warmth all around.
The glow of a sleepy sun
Settles on a hushed scene
In this breath there is nothing that can hurt
Nothing bad enough to push me away from surrender.
I'm not quite invincible
But the undeniable heat in my chest has me believing
That there is so much hope
And so much joy
And I'm willing to melt into it.
