Believe Me When I Say
Please believe me when I say
that everything will be okay.
I'm confronting you now,
putting your feelings at bay.
Please believe me when I say
she's not worth the pain.
She's messing with your happiness,
it's slowly going down the drain.
Please believe me when I say
her mood swings are taking a toll.
I can tell your feelings are changing,
you're no longer feeling whole.
Please believe me when I say
she does not deserve your tears.
The droplets slip down your face
as her wicked smile appears.
Please believe me when I say
she's just a hypocrite.
She gets mad at you for certain things,
but when you get mad, she loses it.
Please believe me when I say
she's never telling the truth.
When she comes to you asking what's wrong,
in her head, she's becoming a sleuth.
Please believe me when I say
you'll do fine without her.
When you finally leave,
I'll take her place as your heart’s chauffeur.
Please believe me when I say
I know what you're going through.
Last year, after many ugly fights,
I lost my best friend too.
Please believe me when I say
I'll be here through it all.
One day, you’ll need to rant,
I'm telling you, just give me a call.
