eyes full of feathers
the weight of the earth
rubs up
against my ankles; i
stand,
and
sway,
but the words
don't
come.
and
when my gaze swirls
up
to the horizon, i
do yet not see your
feet, or hear your
song
but i know now that when
you loom up before me, and your voice
goes soft and sends me
spinning
my fluttering heart will
fall into
your two cupped hands.
