Alaska
When I entered the forest my eyes were amazed.
This new world was a million light years away, but I was there.
I breathed in the cool, crisp winter air.
I felt the Ice crystals falling onto my skin
as I helplessly gazed into the great white abyss.
My ears have never heard such a beautiful silence.
The sky was darker than obsidian, but the stars,
oh the stars lit up the night like an atom bomb.
Never have I seen, nor heard, nor felt a place like this,
but I knew that this would be my home.
My beautiful ice-capped, pine-lavished home.
