The Sisters of the Seasons
Autumn is a lady gold
with warnings of the coming cold.
She adorns the streets with her auburn hair
a sight so beautiful and so fair.
Winter is a queen with an icy flair
she chills you with her piercing stare.
She wears a gown of sparkling white
and a crown of icicles bright.
Spring dances in like a lively fairy
she fills our world with all things bright and airy.
The flowers bloom and smile at her
as she zips around in a watery blur.
Summer comes marching in
her bright rays shine down; making me grin.
She pulls you in with a warm smile
and keeps you there for a long, long, while.
