The Muse
The Hitchcockian girl-
Made of 70-millimeter film-
Glares at me in double exposure.
Our eyes meet through monochrome.
Dialogue begins in cryptic prose,
And ends in a volatile kiss.
A medium close-up
Encaptures a sort of voyeurism-
Cut to a bold iris reflected through the lens.
The focus is crystalline,
The walls, transparent.
We disappear through a zoom to landscape.
Platinum love is out of focus.

This piece is inspired by my adoration of Alfred Hitchcock's style of filmmaking.
