Once packed into a cone,
the sequoia seeds now spill.
Pristine abode beneath the soil,
the growing process begins.


Aging gently,
surely becoming a sapling.
Branches extend and entwine, as
racoons and squirrels are shaded.


Thunder crackles and lightning strikes,
electrocuting the lavish leaves.
Plunging from the canopy,
the stump splinters open.


Once packed into a cone,
the sequoia seeds now spill.
Pristine abode beneath the soil,
the growing process begins.
