The Darkness

The Darkness is where
the demons hide,
sometimes under the bed
sometimes in my head,
they are always there
watching and waiting
for the perfect moment to scare
me back into my past,
when I walk towards the light
they drag me back inch by inch
until I am surrounded by eternal night.
