The Ache Of Forgetting Her
I keep a part of you with me
long after you've gone.
We spent so much time together
that I can feel you
within parts of me.
When I smile,
I think of yours.
When I laugh,
I hear you laughing along.
Words come out of my mouth,
and sometimes
I swear
that it's you speaking.
It's clearly time to move on-
but when I think of kissing anybody
my mind automatically goes to
you sighing against my lips.
I crave your presence- always.
There isn't another smile in this world
that I'd rather clear away
with a kiss.

Letting go is one of the hardest things I've had to experience.
