Figments
you were a dream come true,
you were perfect.
you were the apple of my eye,
no wait,
the whole tree.
like the ones you only see in the spring,
and boy were you a sight to see.
you had the face of a prince,
a king,
no wait a god.
sculpted to perfection,
like you were davinci's last piece.
and that it took god a couple of weeks.
you had eyes of the sea,
filled with love and destiny,
that would calm any storm,
that could ever come my way.
and your smile,
oh your smile,
was one that solved world peace.
a smile that you only saw in plays
and movies.
nothing could've ever prepared me,
for you to come my way.
and as you reached out for me with your hand of god,
making my heart stop,
and my sense of living wanting to vanish,
and pushed me out of the way,
i realized you were a dream.
and like every dream,
you weren't there when i woke up.
and every night i go to sleep,
and i hope i feel you,
or even see you again.
but like every dream,
there's no guarantee that i will ever know you again.
