A perfect poem
Twice declined, a letter sealed
in hope, and some wax,
Edges folded, browning, the slow
undoing of a girl unfolding,
Concentric circles , in oblong
imitations of fingers, fret and unfret
an address scribbled,in haste,
some fairytale hope resting,on the gnarled
shoulders of the hasty H, and crooked D,
And within it, a single poem,
Size 12,Times New Roman, edited, unedited
and bent to perfection
until thoughts go unsaid,
On a the sleek mahogany table of an important looking man.
