Heads pressing against the bars
Eyes tugging at your heart
Begging to go home
Tongue gently licking your hand
Fur softly grazing your fingers
Nose pressing into your palm
Begging to go home
Tail whipping back and forth
Paws dancing in the air
Mouth open in a grin
Knowing they’ve found a home
