goodbye
It always seems to amaze me how quickly change occurs,
Like a constant flowing river of near icy cold waters
Like the tides change bringing newness
Like the winds blow fresh air
I know things never stay the same
But this time it’s just not fair
I feel like I just met you yesterday and now you move away
And I smile shyly knowing that this is your last day
I pray we will keep in touch I pray because the past
I’d say those things and try it but those things don’t seem to last
Your the first friend I met here and I cherish you a bunch
And although our times been short know I love you very much
I will always be here for you, to talk to listen to writ
At the very least in spirit, if i'm not in clear plain sight
Email, or write to me I will always have an open ear
My schedules not so crazy you know I'm here
I know one day i'll visit you and you'll be back i'm sure
All I hope is that our friendship lasts the test of time so pure
As I end this thought I know there's more so much there is to say
But I'll leave that for another time, another friendly day.
Goodbye my friend I bid you adieu
Don't know what i'll do without you
I will learn so don't you fret
Will be a while til my pillows not wet
I miss you already and you're not even gone
Yes I'm taking away your precious fawn
you'll still be here you will still be laughing with me
I will lose motivation without you what will I do
I found my inspiration by thinking of you
I scared I will lose the last from you what will I do
Distance yourself from the things that upset you
Before your inner vision because a big blur
you know when your on a roll
For life hasn't quit taken a toll
To get back to friendship will take quite a lot
To put things back into perspective be where they ought
We will miss you you know quite a bit
For in your heart we made a big hit
For now we need to bury you deep in our heart
To say goodbye and have to part.

this poem was for my best friend Abbi, because she was going to transfer, but she ended up staying.
