Just Another Morning
I wake up.
Warm blankets surrounding me.
i hear the waves.
Rushing.
Hitting.
Or just resting.
i look outside.
Snow piling up on the gravel.
The house is silent.
Full,
but feels empty.
I lay on my back.
Thinking of the night before.
So many thoughts that ran.
I felt that pain.
That sickness I know not.
I wanted to die.
A breeze rushed in.
There was a whimper of sadness.
Just the baby.
i look up from the bed, and lookee around.
Everyone asleep.
So Peaceful.
Gentle.
The night before started to taunt me.
Creeping from the back of my head.
I couldn't go back to sleep.
My face fell in my hands.
The alarm goes off.
I wake up.
Warm blankets surrounding me.
it was just another morning.
