Aloha
I squeak out of
My plastic pink shoes
And with naked toes
Gingerly step onto
A blanket of velvet
Laced with crystals
Warming my soles
My soul
Out I splay
My greedy eyes drink this
Technicoloured fantasy
Magenta sky
Indigo sea
Pineapple sun
The beauty is
Excruciating
Delicate palm fronds
Waltz with the wind
The wind which whispers
Sweet scents to my nose
Spicy flowers, salty sea
My own orchestra of odors
Superior to any
Chanel No. 9
The sun wraps her arms
Around me in loving embrace
The ocean hums
Her timeless lullaby
With one final melodious word
The island then settles
Into her lazy noon slumber
Aloha
