Dedication to Captain Phil Harris
Just another face that’s been paid little mind
But loved by so many, whom he had to leave behind
It came so unexpected, but God knew all along
And the world showed its pain when his soul had finally gone
Just another man that the world had overlooked
But when he left this world, rain poured and thunder shook
Many people knew him as a father, friend, or boss
But all of us have hardly a clue about how much they’ve lost
He’s in a better place now, and that doesn’t calm their minds.
But there’s still work to be done, so they untie all the lines
And they check on all the gear as they hear the engines start
But they know they’ve lost a captain with a kind and gentle heart.
