Insanity
I stand
hands in fists
nails digging into skin
teeth gritted
Inhaling, but not having the strength
the will
the power
to exhale.
Can't let out emotions that way
I can't
breathe.
Can't move to cover my eyes
Shield my insides from the world.
Can't move to place my head
in my hands.
Let it fall there,
and never bring it back up.
I just stand there
my insides burning to ash
Burning from rage
From being terrified
From me.
I am insane.
Reaching a point people call
Insanity.
Don't notice anyhing around me
Can't determine if my eyes are open
I see what God wants me to see
I don't have the strength to wince.
To wince at this terrible world
This world God calls
My world.
Insanity is brought upon me like a blanket
Covering every part of my body
Until nothing
is sane.
And I just stand there
hands in fists
nails digging into skin
teeth gritted
not breathing
Slowly
Slowly going insane.
