FACING REALITY
Reality is something I’ve got to accept
I’ve pushed it to the back of my mind
To scared to face it, but to pure to hate it
Before I face it
I have to face myself
I got to fight my nightmares
The thing that keeps me up at night
The reason every morning I cry
You can say you understand what I’m going through
But I don’t want any empathy from you
Because what I’m going through is physically sickening ‘and mentally killing me
It feels as if someone else is controlling me
I don’t expect anyone to show any feelings
For me
Because most likely
When you read this poem will be one of the
Few times you ever think of me
I’m just facing reality
