Rain Outside My Window
It’s foggy
I can’t see into the distance
It’s too hard to tell if its morning
Or night
I don’t remember when I woke up
Or if I woke up
The rain pounds on the roof
And floods the streets
I wish my problems were like the leaves
That the rain washes away
Never to be seen again
I daydream to escape the rain
And my reality
In the crowd of runners I am in slow motion
My feet never leave the ground
