I Watch The World Hide
I watch the world hide
As the sun recedes below
The bay’s horizon afar.
Clouds dissipate as the
Night lingers slow but bold,
Claiming rightfully so.
Demons creep on shadows’
Ends to watch even
The cosmos fall from heaven.
There is no bliss tonight.
A cry pierces through
Peter’s gate and resounds.
Gods and saints are dragged
Down to this hell.
Let the cowards squirm
In inferno, for now I
Am ready for retribution.
I stand perfectly still as
I watch the world hide.
