A Lot of Running
I stop in a room very tired of running
As soon as I did I felt they were coming
I looked out the window for an exit, but instead caught one with my eyes
I dare not blink or look away for fear of my demise
I stand -barely- knees knocking together - how much time has past?
I force my eyes open and mock its stare how long must this last
My eyes cry for moisture, but I cannot permit them to do so
If I take my eyes off it for even a second it will take me were I don’t want to go
I can’t believe how much trouble that strange man’s got me in
But as long as my heart is beating I will not let my foe win
I stare strait at the weeping angel my courage as strong as an ox
You wouldn’t believe how happy I was when I saw that blue police box
