life-time
Simplicity is often wasted
on those who don’t understand
what it means to truly live a life
without rushing to expand
every day is a battle
in this world we call our own
fighting to "make it"
for a place to call a home
when it’s over
when it’s all said and done
when you hang your hat up
tell me; who won?
often we ask ourselves
what it means to be alive
often we place what we shouldn’t
behind the wheel that drives
all these distractions around us
the objects that make us blind
oh how we forget
the point to living
is to live your life
every second that passes
is meant to be treasured
make each second count
because once they are gone
They are gone forever
seconds are small
but hours or not
days are longer still
years are quite a lot
time passes quickly
don’t let it slip
hold tight to your love
keep a good grip
let go of the garbage
the things you don’t need
remember tick of the clock
and what seconds truly mean
