so let it out
said the whale
all the while chewing me with his
toothbrush teeth.
let that thing out.
and the low hum of his whaling song
spread across the insides of our belly
:vibrating me.
what do i call you?
the voice from his inside inquired,
freshly drowning corpse though it was
he said,
you can call me everything.
